The software is in a beta stage where most of implemented features work, features and improvements are rolled out as they are developed. See the overview of the [/roadmap?show=all achieved milestones] for what has been implemented so far.
The current stable version 0.9.0 is available as a [http://download.ag-projects.com/SipClient/ tar archive] and [http://sipsimpleclient.com/wiki/SipInstallation#Debianpackage Debian package].
Release 0.9.0 notes:
* File transfer and desktop sharing need to be converted to the new middleware API, they are subject for a future release.
* Debian package sipclient has been split into two packages: python-sipsimple (the library itself) and sipsimple-cli (the command line tools)
