The software is in a beta stage where most of implemented features work, features and improvements are rolled out as they are developed. See the overview of the [/roadmap?show=all achieved milestones] for what has been implemented so far.
* The current stable version is 0.4.0 and is available as a [http://download.ag-projects.com/SipClient/ tar archive] archive and [http://sipsimpleclient.com/wiki/SipInstallation#Debianpackage Debian package] package
* The new event driven middleware API and its documentation have been pushed to the trunk on March 31-st, 2009
* The middleware and command line tools have been updated to use the new [wiki:SipConfigurationAPI configuration API]
* The next release is 0.9.0 planned for release on April 15-th, 2009
* File transfer and desktop sharing need to be converted to the new middleware API, they are subject for a future release
