The software is now stable and implemented features are known to be working properly.

See the overview of the [/roadmap?show=all achieved milestones] for what has been implemented so far.

Trunk Status

The trunk is now (2009-08-21) stable and recommended for anyone that wishes to use the library. Known issues are listed in the [http://sipsimpleclient.com/report tickets interface].

The trunk contains the following versions:

  • python-sipsimple 0.10.0
  • sipsimple-cli 0.10.0
  • python-msrplib 0.11.0
  • python-xcaplib 1.1.0
  • python-eventlet 0.8.11
Next Release

Next release, [http://sipsimpleclient.com/milestone/Release%201.0 release candidate 0.10] will feature the first stable version of the Middleware API.

Previous Release

At this stage is not recommended to use this version anymore as it is too old and some dependencies might not even exist anymore. Use the development version instead.

The current version 0.9.0 is available starting since 2009-04-15 as [http://download.ag-projects.com/SipClient/ tar archive] and [http://sipsimpleclient.com/wiki/SipInstallation#Debianpackage Debian package].

Release 0.9.0 contained:

  • python-sipsimple 0.9.0
  • sipsimple-cli 0.9.0
  • python-msrplib 0.10.0
  • python-xcaplib 1.0.9
  • python-eventlet 0.8.10

The SIP stack is based on pjsip 1.0 version.

Notes:

  • sipclient Debian package has been split into two: python-sipsimple (the library itself) and sipsimple-cli (the command line tools)
