The software is now stable and implemented features are known to be working properly.

== Trunk status ==

The trunk is now (2009-08-21) stable and recommended for anyone that wishes to use the library. Known issues are listed in the [http://sipsimpleclient.com/report tickets interface].

== Next release ==

Next release, [http://sipsimpleclient.com/milestone/Release%201.0 release candidate 0.10], is scheduled for December 1-st, 2009. It will feature the final version of the SIP Session API together with the final layer for supporting arbitrary media streams carried by RTP and MSRP protocols. 

== Previous release ==

At this stage is not recommended to use this version anymore as it is too old and some dependencies might not even exist anymore. Use the development version instead.

The current version 0.9.0 is available starting since 2009-04-15 as [http://download.ag-projects.com/SipClient/ tar archive] and [http://sipsimpleclient.com/wiki/SipInstallation#Debianpackage Debian package]. 

Current release 0.9.0 contains:

 * python-sipsimple 0.9.0

 * sipsimple-cli 0.9.0

 * python-msrplib 0.10.0

 * python-xcaplib 1.0.9

 * python-eventlet 0.8.10

The SIP stack is based on pjsip 1.0 version.

Notes:

 * sipclient Debian package has been split into two: python-sipsimple  (the library itself) and sipsimple-cli (the command line tools)
